Tuition, Fees and Charges:
One time Non-Refundable Application Fee: $25
Tuition for Spring Session: $500
Tuition for Summer Session: $900
Tuition for Winter Session: $500
Total Annual Tuition: $1,900
Total Tuition for Three-year program: $5,700
Tuition covers books, hotel room and board. Deductions are not made available for required books already owned, boarding at home or with friends or relatives, or preparing own meals or taking meals elsewhere. Students are encouraged to share hotel rooms as a means to reduce overhead costs. Those who chose to room alone will be billed for half the cost of the room. Travel expenses are not included in the tuition. Meal stipends are provided when catering is not made available.

Award Determination Process
The Admission’s Committee of The Humanist Institute determines awards based on some or all of the following criteria in no order of priority:
· Financial need (to include, but not limited to)
1. Partnership status
2. Dependents
3. Adjusted gross income
· Outside assistance from other humanist organizations to attend the Institute
· Personal and career goals and objectives
The decisions of the committee are final upon approval by the Board. The deliberations of the committee are considered personal and confidential. The committee is not allowed to share information about an applicant or the committee’s deliberations and decisions other than that expressly granted by the applicant in writing.
Applying for an Award
Scholarship applications are available online at www.humanistinstitute.org or by contacting the Executive Director at manager@humanistinstitute.org. To qualify for consideration, an applicant must complete the application and meet all requirements for admission to the Institute (as outlined in the Admission’s policy).
All applicants are given equal consideration based on the applications submitted for a class.
Types of Awards
Full Scholarship: This award covers full tuition costs for attending three annual sessions over a three-year period. The amount of the award is one thousand nine hundred dollars per year, a total of five thousand seven hundred over three-years.
Partial Scholarship: This award covers half of the tuition costs for attending three annual sessions over a three-year period. The amount of the award is nine-hundred fifty dollars per year, a total of two-thousand eight-hundred and fifty dollars over three-years.
Funding of Awards
The Admission’s Committee determines award recipients and amounts prior to the start of a class. The recipients will be notified within 30 days of receiving all required documentation.
Special consideration: The Institute understands over a three-year period of attending our program, a student’s circumstances may change from the time of enrollment. A student may appeal to the Institute’s Board of Directors for a full or partial scholarship in the case of significant life-changing events. To qualify for consideration, a student must submit a brief statement outing the change in circumstances and financial need to the Executive Director at manager@humanistinstitute.org. for board approval.
Brief statements submitted are considered personal and confidential.
